VOLTAshow is a platform for presenting the vision of contemporary art galleries of global repute whose artists represent new and relevant positions for curators and collectors alike. Conceived to bridge a gap between Basel's pre-existing fairs, VOLTAshow showcases mature galleries who choose as their mandate to work with the most exciting emerging artists. Continuing the original concept of reaching beyond a marketplace atmosphere and creating an event that is even more exhibition than just an art fair, for the third edition of VOLTAshow -- this June and positioned right between the openings of the Venice Biennale and Documenta 12 -- we have instituted a Curatorial Board, which will secure the independence of the choices.
